Heather Nauert

 

Heather Ann Nauert (born January 27 1970) is an American broadcast journalist and former government official who was the Spokesperson of the United States Department of State in the Donald Trump administration from 2017 until 2019. She was a senior associate with the Hudson Institute. It is an conservative think tank.



 



 Prior to her roles in the Department of State, she worked as an ABC News correspondent and news presenter on the Fox News program Fox & Friends. Nauert also served as acting under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, Public Affairs and Diplomacy in the Trump administration from March to October 2018. Nauert was named to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board in 2019 by Trump.
